How do I remove the shop name text on the banner at checkout?

Hi, I would like to know how to remove the shops name that appears at the top on the checkout page. I am using a custom banner with my shop name and logo, however, the default shop name text is on top of the image. I am using the Studio theme.

Happy to help!

The shop text can be edited via the 'edit languages' section of your theme. Once you head there, you will want to select 'Checkout & System'. Shown here:

You will then see the option to adjust the wording for almost every aspect of your cart and checkout page! Scroll down to 'Checkout general checkout context'. Here you can delete the text by simply using your space bar, this will remove your shop name from your checkout page entirely.

Hi, I followed your instructions, yet the shop name still isn't removed. I also tried using a period and typing a word into the context box as well to see if it would alter the text, and it did not change either.

Hey @Stephanie_Albe1,

An easy fix I found is to create a blank transparent image and upload it as your logo on the checkout page. This means you can have your banner showing without a logo or text. Hope this helps!

That's a weak answer. You have merchants losing sales because the only solutions you offer require coding.

@CraigZeppelin Are you facing a different issue with your checkout? The shops name that appears at the top of the checkout page does not inhibit sales.

I disagree. When someone comes to a new storefront and sees nothing more than a checkout page with a compressed order cart, they bounce. Maybe that's not true for a large retailer, but for small businesses with new storefronts, we fight to be seen as reputable sources for our goods.

By toying with the image size and placement, I was able use a logo on my checkout page and 'make it work.'

However good Shopify is for larger companies with budget for custom coding... your support for the little guys is sub-par.

I am helping a friend set up her store. She is using the Refresh Theme. The problem I have is the her shop name is white text and is displaying over the banner image and interfering with the text on the banner. Her shop is password protected so I can only share a screenshot 

I also am struggling with what size the image should be. I made it 1000px by 400px as recommended but it doesn’t work. I changed it to 1000x292px and it is better yet not quite. I used the exact same size image in my own shop http://shop.fosterscreations.us and it works perfectly. I am assuming my shop name does not appear because I also specified a logo image. 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
