How do I send a collaborator request in Shopify?

Hi, what’s the process to send a collaborator request? When I arrive at the page with the code on it I’m directed to share that code, but what do I do?

Also, every time I try and add staff I am directed to Shopify help page which does not load

You are addding someone ? just enter there email and he will recived the code, and asked him to open the link on incogito, and enter the link.

I want them to be a collaborator, is adding them as staff technically the only way to do this?

what exactly solution you are looking for? the other option is left to share the complete store credentials, which is not suggested. 
He might be facing the error due to multiple accounts logins on a same chrome window.

I am looking to send a collaborator request. You recommended to just add their email and apply the code. I see no place to add an email because every t8me I click to send a code the Shopify page for collaborator request will not load. It’s been doing this for days.

when you come to this page, enter his or her email he will recived the code from shopify. you dnt have to do anything beside just adding his email.sometimes it goes to spam folder

Thanks, but everything is the same problem. I’m always directed to Shopify help page and my desired page never loads.

this happens when I request to send a collaborator code and just happened with the manual you sent.

Collaborators are Shopify Partners who have access to your store. They're similar to staff but offer additional benefits. Collaborators can log in from their Partner Dashboard, and their access to your store can be removed from your store admin. Collaborators also don't count toward your store's staff limit.

You can find your collaborator request code and review requests in Settings > Users and Permissions > Collaborators.

Well that’s not how it goes on my device, there is no collaborator option for me.

Have your collaborator sign up for a Partners account here: partners.shopify.com

Then, on the left hand side of their dashboard, they can click "Stores"

Click Add store > Request access to store.
Enter the URL of the Shopify store that you want to access.
If the Shopify store requires a collaborator request code, then enter the code.
In the Permissions section, select the sections of the store that you want to access. The account owner can change these permissions after your account is created.
If you want to include a message to the store owner in your request, then enter a message in the Add a message section.
Click Request access to store.

Hi is it bad for a developer to be added as a staff member and why would they ask for this instead of becoming a collaborator?

The Collaborator will need to go into their partner dashboard, provide your shopify url and the code. 
then they will have access to your shopify. hope that helps.
