Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi everyone,
I came across an epic feature of a local brand. In a previous life I worked in marketing and spoke with the owner of Boardcave Australia who was an IT major that developed his own B2B coding solutions called Cavewire. I'd rather not pay an ongoing fee if I can avoid it but I love how this effect looks on his website. I've have included a screenshot to reference how his quiz is laid out and a link to inspect. I should mention I viewed the page source and inspected the code, upon trying to implement it myself I think the reason I ran into trouble is because I don't have Cavewire access. Is there any way I can replicate this myself?
I would like the quiz to answer a few basic questions with pre-selected options that determine your output and send you an email of a free meal plan. I don't know if it's impossible to integrate with Klaviyo but if it is can it be done via Shopify itself?
Questions:
1) Height and Weight Scale
2) Fitness Activity (ranging from once a week to 5+ times a week)
3) Goal (ranging from "weight reduction" to "lean and healthy" to "mass gain")
4) BMI (prepopulated based on previous answers)
5) Foodie Preferences (ranging from "Love Your Treats", to "Tad Unhealthy" to "Daily Fruit & Veg" to "Health Conscious" to "Super Healthy")
6) Allergies (ranging from "Gluten/Dairy", to "Peanuts", to "Egg", to "Seafood", to "Tree Nuts")
I understand this may be a big task after inspecting the code myself, if someone can help me achieve this effect in a hero banner style similar to the website attached below I would expect to tip at minimum 7 Coffees for this kind of work. And if the general consensus was that is unreasonably low I would up that proportionately. In exchange for transparency I hope I receive the same in return 🙂

Thanks in advance 😄
I'd recommend using an existing quiz app from the Shopify app store that has a free plan so you avoid the ongoing fee you want to avoid.
Use that the build the quiz, get it how you want it and test it. If it converts well, you can decide to keep it as is or hire someone else to build it for you. But either way, it'll be a lot cheaper/easier to build it custom if you have something already working to tell a developer to copy.
Caveat: I wouldn't recommend building something customized since there are several performance and compatibility considerations that quiz apps have already worked through.
Lastly, yes many quiz apps can email results via Klaviyo. If the one you use doesn't, you could set it up with Zapier.
I appreciate your response. I think if I could I would still like to have it coded into the website as a toggle on and off option if possible. Main reason being our email sequencing is predicated on this and our ad spend is going to drive a lot of people to the site so we want to cut costs where possible. Since you took the time to respond I will consider Popsmash
