hi everyone! i'd love to add a product grid to my taste theme homepage. i would like to showcase about 4 of our most popular products... but i have no idea how to add this. the closest i could find was this
https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/not-able-to-add-product-grid-to-desired-pages-taste-t...   but i still can't get this product grid.

what is offered now is a grid but of a specific collection. and i'd like to choose my own products.

i'm currently working on this site, so it's not yet published... but here is the preview link. i hope it helps.

You can follow the instruction here:

> Go to Shopify > Theme > Customize

> Then  a new collection here : https://prnt.sc/ueHONhfhXRlg.

After that can select desired products to include in this collection.

> Navigate to the product grid block to select the newly created collection : https://prnt.sc/laOgU_uK71Ll

Hi ,

It seems the product grid is automatically populated by Shopify based on the default settings of the Taste theme. If you need to display specific products on particular pages, you have a few options:

  1. Use an App: Consider using a best-seller or upsell app to control and customize product recommendations based on your preferences.
  2. Custom Liquid Code: You can also manually add specific products to the desired pages using custom Liquid code. A Shopify developer can assist you in implementing this based on your business needs.

I hope this helps! Feel free to share more details if you need further guidance. 😊

Hi @grumpycookies 👋 if a theme doesn't have a product-grid section for ALL templates it may require an advanced theme customization to add a new bespoke section from scratch or based on any existing product-grid that wasn't built to be used everywhere except for specific pages.

If your code saavy you could look at shopify's other free themes for the section and try to transplant it by yourself as themes made by shopify do share similar structures though there may be stylistic or javascript differences that complicate such a transplant.
