How to change or remove checkout symbol from E£ to EGP?

Hi, has anyone using the EGP currency found a way to fix the checkout symbol issue? Even altering the currency format doesn't assist. Throughout the store, it displays the currency as I set it to "EGP," but on the checkout page, it appears as EPG E£, which can cause a lot of confusion.

Please can anyone help with this problem of egyptian currency symbol, i can´t lunch the store with this issue as i mentioned it will cause a lot of confusion.
