Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
I am using the debut theme. When I create a new product and add colour variant, it automatically spells Color, I would like this permanently changed to Colour. Is this possible and if so how other than me manually doing so. Thankyou
I understand that you are using the Debut theme and have noticed that when you create a new product and add a color variant, it automatically spells it as "Color" instead of "Colour".
Yes, it is definitely possible to make this change! One way to do so would be to edit the language settings of your theme. You can access this by going to "Online Store" > "Themes" > "Actions" > "Edit languages".
Once you are in the language settings, search for the term "Color" and replace it with "Colour". This should update the spelling of the word throughout your website.
Thankyou for the instructions, this might sounds silly but I just cant seem to find the action button after themes to edit the languages anywhere... ? ill try updating my browser if it needs it. look forward to your reply and thankyou for your original reply
Hi Bisyclothing, I'm having the same issue. I may be mistaken but believe that now instead of 'action', you click Themes/3 dots next to the Customise button/Edit default theme content. There, you can edit the language labels. However, when I search 'color' there, it doesn't show up. Does anyone else know the correct way to change this?
I eventually found my way into the language section but like you have found , there is no colour option to change, hopefully someone can can give some input.
