Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
When assigning a tag to an order there is a manage button. The button offers a number of tags to apply to the order. Some we have created but no longer use. Is there a way to delete the unwanted tags from this managed list so that they will not be seen/available? In the screenshot the first tag under available is "CC by sale by RG." I would like to delete this.
Thank you.
HI @Michael6088 you can go to order then select all the orders and from the more actions dropdown select remove tags now any tag there you select will be permanently removed.
Hello @Michael6088
Here are the steps to follow:-
1) Open the products page on Shopify
2) Select the products you want
3) Click on the 'More actions' Dropdown
4) Click on ‘Remove Tags’
5) Select the tags you want to remove
6)Click ‘Save’ to finalize the process.
yeah, that's exactly I was looking for, thanks my problem has been solved now, I was stuck in tags,

Thank you for your solution, but I realize that I was not clear enough with my question. I am not trying to edit a tag on a product or an order. Rather I am trying to edit the "master" list of tags that appears in a drop down menu when you go to manage tags. There are too many tags listed there, some used only one time and they should be deleted from the list. I would like to do this with one caveat. If removing a tag from this list, would I then be removing from it from every instance it was used in the past? Thank you.
Did you ever find the answer to this
Finally figured out that once a tag is no longer used by any product, it no longer shows in the drop down list after you have saved and refresh. But if it is associated with any product it will continue to show. There does seem to be a few minutes delay though.
