How to disable double opt in on Shopify

Hi there,

I currently have the double opt in option unticked  but when I someone subscribes, they still receive the email asking them to confirm their email subscription. How do I remove this? Thanks!

'Double Optin' setting is turned OFF, but I just submitted a test order and got a double optin confirmation email. 😕 

 

Yes, the settings have been 'Saved'.

I've found a solution for mine! Such a silly bug. If you have Klayvio or another email app, navigate to the opt in settings - For Klayvio - lists and segments - newsletter - settings - consent. Have both Shopify AND this page open and select single opt in on both pages. Worked for me. Hope this helps..
