Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello,
How to edit theme template for specific subfolder?
For example, we use two markets. Primary market is Lithuania, and the second one is International (Europe).
There is two languages. For Lithuania market, primary language is Lithuanian, and the second one is English. The translation from LT to EN is fine. When the people visits the website, from other country, it redirects to subfolder domain.lt/en-eu . We have designed International market template different from primary market (Lithuania). But the visitor sees the English translation from the Lithuania market, and the design from the International market. The problem is, that main page banners and their text are different. How to show them the right translation of the banner they see?
Hello, concerning your question, there's the answer to it.
Duplicate the homepage template and name it index-eu.liquid.
2. Update the new template with the correct banners for the international market.
3. Add a Liquid condition in your theme to load the correct template based on the URL subfolder
If you have any questions, let me know.
Thanks.
