How to filter new items collection by date they were added Brooklyn

Hello, on my homepage i have new items however they don't appear in newest date they were added is it possible?

Hi, @Avgustinas. I'm happy to help you out with this!

 

The order your products are sorted in within a collection will depend on the sort order you set up in the collection's settings. You can edit this by going to Products > Collections in your Shopify Admin and selecting the specific collection you want to edit. From here, scroll down to the Sort setting and change it to the order you'd prefer. For what you're trying to do you'll want to select Newest. Once this is done, the collection will appear in this order by default. You can find the steps to change the sort order for products in a collection here as well.

If you'd like more control over how customers discover and search through your products on your storefront, I'd also recommend taking a look at this guide on storefront filtering. That being said, some of the features explained there require you to be using an Online Store 2.0 theme.

 

Do you mind if I ask why you've decided to continue using Brooklyn over an Online Store 2.0 theme? Are there certain features with Brooklyn that you like to have in a theme? The reason I ask is because Online Store 2.0 themes provide more customization opportunities like the option to customize all pages with sections and blocks, in addition to the home page.
