How to have one quantity amount across multiple variants

I am hoping you may be able to help answer my question have products that have options for personalisation and i am wanting to have the same inventory amount across all variants and for it to change when one variant gets sold Currently i have stock amounts randomly added in but i need it to be accurate to show the amount of stock i actually have. is there a way to update this Example Not Personalised - Availabe Personalise option 1 - 5 available personalise option 2 - 5 available This makes it seem like there is 5 of this available but infact i only have 5 of this item available but the option to personalise in different ways. Hopefully this makes sense

I have the same question so am keen to hear of a resolution. I am selling art prints with limited edition of 100 prints per photo but available in many different sizes / materials / frame options.

Hello!  Did you ever find a solution for this?  I am having the same issue.  I have a tee shirt shop.  I sell the prints with variants for size and color.  Inventory only shows for the first size and color combination.  Would love to have this sorted so the product (prints) cascade across all variants (sizes and colors).

I need help with this too. Is there a way to sell items by SKU's, and assigning multiple variants to that SKU? Or possibly an app that makes it much easier?

Hi, i have a somewhat solution for this because i had the same issue 🙂 So, I first have my product set up but with NO variations, this way i can set the quantity at whatever i wish for this product. Then i downloaded the FREE shopify app “King Product Options & Variations” which lets you add in the variations to your already existing products!! ☺️ This way i can still have as many variations as i want, while setting my overall quantity to what i need! yay!

ALSO- This app is also great because you can completely customize how it appears on your shop, change the colors, text fonts, etc! I loved this cause then it still looks the same as the shopify variations! And it’s free!!
