Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi,
How do I add a hyperlink in the product description to a product which is still in draft?
I have a lot of draft products uploaded (waiting on the 2025 price list before I make them live) and some need to reference to other similar or compatible products.
If the target product was live, I just go to View, copy the URL from my browser and use that as the link (I'm hoping that's correct!).
But draft products don't have a live URL.

Hi @MyCsPiTTa ,
You can check the URL of the draft product in the Search Engine Listing settings. Here is a screenshot:
However, if you set the hyper link using the draft product now, the customer can not access this link, making to 404 page.
This action may badly affect customers' experience and SEO.
You can consider not doing it right now or waiting for it to live to set.
Hope this can help!
Best,
Daisy

Thanks Daisy!
That will work as the product description I'm pasting it into is also not live yet.
I didn't know how you could expand the Search Engine listing to see the full URL. That's what I was looking for! 👍
