How to place text and buttons over multicolumn images

Hi! 

Wanting to place my text and button links over my multicolumn images instead of under them, in addition have the zoom affect when you hover over each different image with a "shop now" button appear over the image when you hover. 

This is my current, I want it to look like:

In the original post, the second photo, four squares with the photos that have the text over the photo, not below it. And my mouse is rolled over the third photo from the left revealing a "shop now". Does that make sense?
