How to remove variant tags from the cart?

Is is possible to remove the variant tags that show up in the product when its in the cart?

Step 1: Go to Shopify Admin -> Online Store ->Theme -> Edit code

Step 2: Search file theme.liquid

Step 3: Insert this code above </head> tag: 

<style>
dl .product-option+.product-option {
    display: none !important;
}
</style>
