How to Show Only the Selected Variant's Image on Product Page

Hello Shopify Community,

I have a product with multiple variants, each with its own unique image (e.g., different colors: gold, silver, platinum). I’d like to set up my product page so that only the image for the currently selected variant is displayed, and other images are hidden when a different variant is selected.

Essentially, I’m looking for a way to:

1. Display only the image associated with the chosen variant.
2. Hide other variant images from the gallery view when a different option is selected.

Could anyone advise on how to achieve this? I’d appreciate guidance on any changes needed in Liquid, JavaScript, or CSS to make it work.

You can check in your Online Store > Themes > Customize > Products > select product template assigned products, check if it has option 

'Hide other variants’ media after selecting a variant'

Unfortunately, I don’t have that option available in my theme settings.
