I can't assign pages or collection templates

I want to make shop with Impulse modern theme  but I made several pages and collections templates but I can't assign  , as it doesn't show in dropdown menu to choose .

is it mandatory to publish the theme that i can see it?

Hello @TigranMarutyan ,

Yes its necessary btw to overcome you can create same template on live theme. Just make sure in live theme use default code of original template there. In this way you will find new templates in dropdown and you can work without impacting live theme.

Ya the solution was to make your website live by "Publishing" the site live. Then you can go to the dropdown and find the pages! 😄

I fixed it.

1) go to your page in your theme and click the very top drop down next to "default"

2) create a new template and go through the screens (naming & base off default collection)

3) once the template is created, go to your collection tab under products 

4) select you desired collection on the right side of the list products, you'll find "theme template"

5) click the theme template you just created for the desired collection and now you can edit that specific page without having to publish your website.

Hi,

I tried this solution but the newly created theme templates are not showing in the dropdown, the only option for theme template is default collection, even though I have created others.

I am currently working within the free trial of Symmetry. Is this happening because I firstly haven't purchased the theme yet, and secondly have not published the site live?

Or is it just a bug or delay in my new templates appearing under collections > theme templates?
