I cannot remove items from the cart drawer after i have added them. Trash button not working. Help:)

I am using the refresh theme and recently i noticed that i (and customers) cannot remove items from cart. Either by making the quantity selector in the cart to zero (which doesn't work, only goes down to 1) or clicking the Trash Button. The trash button simply does not work. it can be clicked but it does nothing.

Also when customers lower the quantity of an item, the Price remains the same. So for example i have added 2x Product 1 and 1x Product 2 and then click the - minus sign and the quantity drops to 1 but the price remains as if there are still 2x Product 1.

Any Help is greatly appreciated. This seems like such a grand and basic issue and i am curious as to how Shopify hasn't fixed it yet already.
