Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi,
Ive been hacked. Some plonker has maliciously added themselves as a owner of my domain and inputed a google tag but I cant find it. Ive gone into layout/theme.liquid and can only see the one we have put in years ago. Where would have they put there malicous tag?
please share the store url so that i can look into it.
i can see there are 3 google tags please confirm which tag you are referring?
ITs a Google Site Verification, domain owner verification. Meta Tag as above 🙂
This is the tag which is malicious - <meta name="google-site-verification" content="8vmwsKsNxjX5MgirB5srjlolGJNGZ8jkPHl5Rr9FDAA" />
The one I can see there is the one we have.
this is site verification code not malicious code. refer to the official google doc.
i can see only one verification code this time on your site.
Sorry mate little confused as in Search Console, ive tried to remove this malicious person and in Unused Tokens ive tried to delete and says the Tag is still present on my site.
if you view the subdomain hes maliciously done https://kiburi.com.au/password you can see its not us
i can see the code on the subdomain not on the main domain bro. and probably it will be available in the theme.liquid file.
Hey man yeah I dont have access to that subdomain.
from where you buy the domain? do you have your domain credentials? if yes you can delete that subdomain from that account.
Ive gone in to that and no subdomain has been registered under Cpanel. Il contact and speak with someone in the morning. on that password subdomain looks like a Ransom hijack.
look like very strange.
