Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
I would like to display my products as a carousel on the landing page.
www.modernmensties.com
I own a tie shop and most of my customers are on mobile. I would like for them to see examples of collections by scrolling left or right on the homepage.
Most of the products are sourced through Oberlo, and the products contain 20-30+ variations, I can separate the variations if needed.
Can this be done without slowing the landing page down to a slow crawl? Is there a good app or Shopify them that displays large inventories in this manner?

Hey @DapperDLP
That is a great question and yes, it can be done! There are a few ways to go about this, depending on your needs.
The first option here would be to use an app for this feature while keeping the theme you already have. Check out some apps that I have listed here for you. Some personal recommendations of mine would be Product Page Slider & Gallery or POWR Image Slider & Carousel, which both offer free plans. That being said, if you wish to use the apps, it may be best to reach out to developers for more context about supporting a multitude of products.
Another option for you would be to switch to a theme that can support the carousel function. Check out some of these options below, which support large catalogs.
If you would rather not use an app or switch your theme and want to offer a more custom experience - you could look at hiring a Shopify Expert to do some custom coding for your store. I hope those recommendations are helpful.
