Image Header - Make smaller

I want to make our header banner containing images smaller so that it's not taking up the entire page. 

How can I make borders so that the image is smaller?

Please see website for the current header and what size we would like it to be the same as 1440x600

@Sharna02 - the image 'MuscleSquad more than just a fitness equipment store is 526px on my screen and hence it looks smaller than banner

banner is actually 1440 x 600
