Image Liquid Code

Hi all, 

I'm trying to "prettify" my storefront and I'm struggling to uniformly have the FIRST image of the product display on ALL of the site pages. I have tried changing the liquid code texts to remove the variant options (as this seems to be the issue where if a product has a variant it will display that image instead of the first). 

I'm not code savvy and need some help to fix this before I publish my site. 

Any help is appreciated, BONUS if you could provide the needed code & direct me to the right place to put it!!
