Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
I'm using the Morata theme and when you click on the product the image is huge and doesn't scale to fit like on their demo. I' changed the global css code and made the "max-width" to 50%, which worked to make it smaller but the alignment was way off and im not sure this is the best way to get the image to scale to each device.
img,
video {
max-width: 100%;
height: auto;
}
.block {
display: block;
}
.placeholder-svg {
fill: rgba(51, 50, 50, 0.35);
background-color: rgba(51, 50, 50, 0.1);
}
a {
color: var(--color-link);
text-decoration: none;
outline: 0 !important;
}
Have you tried the normal way through the GUI? Go to your themes and click customize, then at the very top of your screen you will see two white buttons that say something like default and home page. Change home page to products, then click on default product (it is a template). Click on the main product image, then a menu will appear on the right. Under the media section, change Desktop Media Width from Large to Small.
thanks for getting back to me. This theme doesn't have those options built in, probably because the company "alo" wants you to use their tech support and pay them to do it. I have another issue, with the text that doesnt center when it is reduced in size, it just goes to the far left margin. Again, no options to center it on the dashboard. Very strange.
dont buy anything by alo themes. the support and templates **bleep** sucks
