In theme editor, cursor randomly jumps to the start of the page when typing

When typing inside the code editor, cursor just randomly jumps to the start of the page. I can't express how frustrating this is. Cache cleaning didn't help. This happens on multiple stores.

I saw reports from 2022 about the same issue, then there were claims that it is resolved, but seems like it back again.

it's back and it's maddening. It's gotten to the point where I am coding in Notepad and pasting the code into the code editor which is VERY inefficient.
