Incorrect zoom in Craft theme - product images

I'm currently looking at some sample themes for a site I'm about to start work on, and I've come across the free Craft theme from Shopify.

Looking at the product pages, it looks like the zoom isn't working correctly on the product images.  The zoom level is too high - I assume this isn't by design? The zoom seems to show the top half of each image.

The problem can be seen on the Craft demo store itself here:

Click one of the images to zoom in - that's not the desired behaviour is it?
