inventory vs quantity

Hi, Hope you can help. Trade Theme.

I sell handmade products. As such there is only ever one of each item. Once that item is gone, it's gone.

I have set the item in the inventory to have a stock availability of 1 with a SKU ID.

Logically, I would expect if someone goes to the product page of that item, they should only be able to pick a quantity of 1. However it doesn't do that, it allows the user to pick an unlimited quantity.

Is there a way to stop this? Also once that 1 item has been sold does the item show as sold out?

Hi @kirkandburton 

When you choose as shown, and enter stock for the product as 1
then when out of stock it will display "sold out"

to limit the quantity, I suggest you use the Order Limit app
