Is the Brooklyn theme compatible with version 2.0?

Hello,

Is this theme compatible with the 2.0 version https://themes.shopify.com/themes/brooklyn/styles/classic? 

If not, is there any chance they can update it to make it compatible without having to go through many changes?

I am happy to hear you like our Brooklyn theme enough to want to upgrade it to 2.0. At this time, the Brooklyn theme does not officially support the 2.0 update and it would require a developer to assist in making that transfer. If this is the route you want to take, you can find the resources you need here: Upgrading to Online Store 2.0 · Shopify Help Center. 

The brooklyn theme is now considered a "vintage" theme and we have since released a whole new set of themes on the 2.0 platform to work with. You can have a look at our free 2.0 themes here:  Free Ecommerce Website Templates from Shopify.

Is there a specific feature or function of the Brooklyn theme that you wanted to have on your store and that's why you want to continue with it? Please feel free to let me know what functionality you are wanting to have and I would be happy to suggest some free and paid themes to consider instead.

Hi, we're currently using Warehouse but I really liked the double columns of the collections on the Brooklyn home page on mobile, it's much nicer than the huge, full width collection image/buttons on Warehouse. Do you know of a theme that has similar functionality? Thanks!

Great question! I took a look and most, if not all of our free themes offer this functionality. They have the ability to toggle the collections columns in the theme editor settings. All of our new 2.0 themes are lovely and worth checking out if you are thinking of a change.
