Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello, everyone!
I'm having an issue with how product images are displayed when assigning them to color variants.
I uploaded a t-shirt that comes in multiple colors, and I have both front and back images for each color. However, when I segment the product by color variants (e.g., White, Beige, Orange), Shopify asks me to assign an image to each specific variant.
The problem is: once I assign an image to a variant, it disappears from the main product gallery and only shows up when selecting that specific color.
For example:
This means that if a customer is viewing the product without selecting a color, they won’t see the images for all the available colors, making the product page look empty or incomplete.
I’d really appreciate any guidance on this! Thanks in advance.
Hi @SotoQWERTY,
Shopify hides images from the main gallery when assigned to variants.
