Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi!
I have a client who wants to add a second blog, specifically for press-related content, while their first blog focuses on articles and other content.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Created a new Blog Template titled "Press"
Assigned relevant blog posts to the "Press" blog in both the production and test themes.
Issue: The site’s current structure is causing an issue where updating the hero image, text & CTA for Blog 1 (the original blog) also updates the hero image for Blog 2 (Press blog). Although these two blogs have different templates, they seem to share the same section settings in the Theme Customzier.
Request: Could you assist in resolving this issue, ensuring that each blog template has its own independent hero image? Does any one have any advice?
You are using the same template for your blogs. You have to create a new template for your blog.
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to reply.
As I mentioned int he OP here is what I’ve done so far:
Created a new Blog Template titled "Press"
I have an original Blog Template titled "Stories"
So I have 2 different templates assigned to 2 different blogs in the admin. However the {% section 'blog-listing-hero' %} seems to be shared between templates, it can't be unqiue or hidden in the theme editor. When I change the image, text or CTA on one template, when I navigate to the other template it has taken the same edits.
