linking website to shopify

I have a product that on another website.  I am trying to link it to my Shopify store so that when a customer clicks on it goes to the original store. can someone help me figure out how to do this,

there are other items i want to add but for now i want to figure out how to link them.

Hi Carl

It seems like your Shopify store isn't live yet because it's still password-protected. If you're planning to use your existing website domain for the new Shopify store, you'll need to transfer various elements from your original site to Shopify. This includes:

• Products: Information about items you sell.

• Customers: Details of your customer base.

• Orders: Records of past and pending purchases.

• Redirects: Ensuring any old URLs point to the correct pages on your new site.

If you do not have migration needs, Then the links updates need to be done on your original website side.

I guess you need change the product link in your original website project. Do you have the code source of original website?

Where do you host the website？

it is not my website it is a company website which they created a storefront for the products i design. it is my responsibility to market the products. right now i am awaiting an answer from them on connecting it to Shopify.
