Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi Shopify Community!
Rookie question here as I takeover some website creative responsibilities from an old agency - how do I locate the current size and resolution of my homepage hero image for both desktop and mobile? I'm planning on updating the imagery soon and I want to make sure the sizing is correct based on what we have in there currently.
Thanks for the help!
Hi, @hannakelly.
Thank you for posting this question!
I'm afraid there isn't a specific recommended resolution for the hero images and sliders, as most of our themes are built to support responsive images. Responsive images are images that respond to the size of screen on which they’re being displayed, so your high-resolution images will be just right regardless of the device. To help you choosing the images that work well with your theme, we've got a couple of suggestions here - Best practices for slideshows, image banners, and full-width images.
I'd love to know if this helps you with changing the imagery on your theme. Let me know!
