I have been trying to upload sharp crisp images for the slideshow banner and no matter what resolution i have the images at the picture of myself and wife is blurry. No idea why.
file in photoshop is 6663x2397. is sharp in photoshop and then goes low res on the website.
Thanks, im at wits end.
Hello Fineedge 👋
Would you share the link to the specific page where I can see the image, so I can help? Is it still a good resolution after you export from Photoshop?
main screen slideshow, its the 4 slides that i have there. i will upload the one of the two of us again> i have the original pic which i took on a canon slr. then I cropped it square and then made a file in photoshop that has the proportion of 1280x640 but larger with white background.
I've checked it on a very big screen and it looks fine to me. You might have it cached, which means an old version with the same name is saved in your browser which is there to help the page load faster. You could delete your cookies or try a different computer and you might find that it's just fine.
Another option is that it loses quality as you upload a large file and it gets compressed by Shopify. To avoid it, you could compress it yourself before uploading. Use https://tinyjpg.com/ and change the file name before uploading if you still think my screenshot doesn't look right.
