Make changes to all product templates at once

Every time I want to generally edit a product template, I also have to make this change to all other product templates. This takes a lot of time as I have many different templates. Is it possible to make changes to all product templates at once? For example if I want to add a shipping tab for one product, how do I apply this to every product without manually adding it in for every single one?
