Minimal theme, making the product images a carousel

I have several images of a product that I would like to make a carousel instead of a bunch of static images below the add to cart bar.  How do I do this?

This will need some coding. If you have any experience with it you could take use of the swiper js library to make a sliding carousel feature. There are other libraries as well but this is what I particularly use.
