Mobile background vs Desktop Background

I am currently having trouble figuring out how to change my mobile background gradient without it changing the desktop version as well. Anyone have a css code that will allow me to edit each individually and not have them linked together. I want to be able to change the mobile background without it changing the desktop as well.
