Mobile icon not showing with sticky header

Menu icon is not showing on mobile site. It flashes on and then disappears.

Step 1: Go to Shopify Admin -> Online Store ->Theme -> Edit code

Step 2: Search file theme.liquid

Step 3: Insert this code above </head> tag: 

<style>
.header-wrapper .header__icon--cart .icon {
    display: block !important;
}
</style>

thank you for your time - this did not get the menu icon (hamburger i think it is called) showing on the left hand top corner. I need the X to be replaced with the mobile menu icon. pleease. thanks again

Please go to your Online Store > Themes > click "..." next to current theme > Edit code > open base.css file, go to bottom of the file, remove those code
