Modifying Sort list for Collection Page Dawn Theme

Dear All,

Hope you are doing well, I would like to edit my sort list in collection page as the default list is this:

I want to remove 'Date, old to new' and 'Date, new to old' and add instead 'Trending' if it can be added.

I have seen some questions similar and noticed that @PageFly-Richard answered and pasted code to help them, I have tried to tweak the same code in order to have the list as I wanted but couldnt identify the chunk of code to change. 

I hope you can help and point into where we can modify the code for future needs and for the community to be aware.

did you find anything on that? i found some old info but looks like the code was changed the past year or so and it's all coded differently now
