Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello,
I need help with the code to have a multirow display two images side by side rather than one image and one text box. Similarly, I would like a row that can display one image next to one video. Can anyone help me with that?
Thanks in advance!
Hey there, can you send a link to your store and the location of the multi row you have at the moment?
Hi! Thank you so much for offering to help!
My store is moliorcoffee.com
Currently, I'm using a mutlicolumn with because it's the only way I could get 2 images to display side by side, but I can't change which image displays first on mobile using the mulitcolumn, so I need a multirow with two images.
The page on the live site that has the current multicolumn I want to replace (the 9 step process) is here: https://moliorcoffee.com/pages/natural-coffee-process
On an unpublished copy of the theme, I created blank multirow section where I'd like the new image with image multirow to live:
<shopify-section-template--16775601127670__bcae8c8e-748e-40cc-83dd-a15b31fe8c30"
Please let me know what other information you need. Thanks again!!!!!
Please send. an preview link to the unpublished theme - how to share a preview link
@lunaworks use this preview link of the unpublished theme. https://moliorcoffee.com/?_ab=0&_fd=0&_sc=1
I've had several changes since my first post so I made a copy of my current theme and inserted the multirow placeholder on this copy. It's on the page 'Natural Coffee Process." Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply. but this is a unique preview link. I think the link i shared shows the default way. To get the unique preview link follow these steps --

I think this is what you are looking for? If not, let me know. Thank you!!
Yes this works. So if I understand you the Multicolumn section works but the only issue mainly is being able to switch the columns on mobile.
I think the best bet would be to create a custom section and then add a setting to be able to switch the columns and style it just the way you want.
But then again another way would be to target each multicolumn with css and then flip the columns as desired but then that wouldnt be dynamic - if you add any new multicolumn section then the process would have to be repeated to include the new sections or columns you add and may won't be ideal in the long run.
Yes, you are correct in understanding my issue with the multicolumn. I will defer to your expertise on what you think is the best solution! For me, since I'm a novice at this, a solution that would make it easier for me going forward not needing re-create or modify the section each time I need to use it. Thank you for your expertise!
Okay. I’ll suggest a custom solution then so you can get it done just as you’d want it. You can hire a developer of your choice to get this done for you or I can do it for you.
I will take you up on your offer. Thank you so much!! I’ll send you a DM.
Did you ever get a solution to this? Thanks Stacey
