Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello, I am using Dawn theme and I want to make my footer menu like the one in the screen shot but my footer is not even showing the drop down options as shown in the screen shot.
My website: https://ekety5-vj.myshopify.com/
need to check code to debug this issue
If your footer menu isn’t showing dropdowns like in your screenshot, it’s most likely because the links in your menu aren’t nested properly.
Go to your Shopify admin
Click on Online Store > Navigation
Find your footer menu
Open the menu you’re using in the footer.
Nest your menu items
Drag some links slightly to the right under a main link. This will turn them into sub-links, kind of like a dropdown.
Save your changes
Now go back to your store
Refresh the page and check your footer. On mobile, you should now see the dropdown arrows. On desktop, it may still show all items expanded—but at least the dropdowns are working where they’re supposed to.
If you want the dropdowns to work on desktop too (like an accordion), you’ll need a bit of custom code. Let me know if you want help with that part.
Accept this as solution if it help out
