Solved

My footer won't change color.

I'm using the Expanse theme and I can't change the color of my footer. It works perfectly fine to change the other colors under theme settings (borders and text) but my footer won't change color at all, its stays on white no matter what I choose. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi @nonsie

Do you mean like this?

or like this

Made4uoRibe_1-1705946245338.png

Check one then.

From your Shopify admin dashboard, click on "Online Store" and then "Themes".

Find the theme that you want to edit and click on "Actions" and then "Edit code".

In the "Assets" folder, click on "base.css, style.css or theme.css" file, depending on which file your theme uses to store its CSS styles. At the bottom of the file, add the following CSS code:

div#FooterMenus {
    background: var(--colorFooter);
}

And Save. The 1st SS.

div#FooterMenus, .footer__section {
    background: var(--colorFooter);
}

And Save. 2nd SS.

Hey @nonsie

Follow these Steps:

1) Go to Online Store
2) Edit Code
3) Find theme.liquid file

4) Add the following code in the bottom of the file above </body> tag

<style>
.footer {
    background: #0E475C !important;
}
</style>

I have a theme.css.liquid, a theme.js and a theme.liquid but the code isn't working in either of them, I don't really know what I'm doing wrong.

Paste it in your main.css in your Asset folder. Thanks!

I put the code in the custom CSS in the theme settings and that worked out perfect! Thank you for providing the code.
