Hello, I launched my website (Unstickit.com) on Monday. The Shopify URL (unstickit.myshopify.com) is still showing up in Google when I google the brand name. How do I disable that URL? Thank you

Hi @stevenunstick ,

You can disable the Shopify URL (unstickit.myshopify.com)showing up in Google search results in many ways.

1.Set up a 301 Redirect: Redirect all traffic from unstickit.myshopify.com to unstickit.com. This tells search engines that the content has permanently moved to a new URL.

2.Update Shopify Settings:
Go to your Shopify admin.
Navigate to Online Store > Domains.
Set your custom domain (unstickit.com) as the primary domain.

3.Block Crawling and Indexing:
Add a robots.txt file to unstickit.myshopify.com to disallow all web crawlers from indexing the site.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

Please try the above steps this will help you fix the problem. Once you are done with this please get back to us to set up a Google search console for your website. GSC is a powerful tool for analyzing the appearance of your site in search engines.
