Narrative Product Page - Image Sizes & Arrow Scroll

Looking for help with the product page using the Narrative theme. I'd like to either have the sub product images moved up closer to the main image (so viewers don't have to scroll all the way down on desktop to see that there's more than one image) OR have arrows or dots near the main image showing that there is more than one photo.

Would also like to make those sub images a little smaller.

I've searched but haven't found a solution that works for either. Anyone able to help with this?

It can be done by using liquid code, hiding the gallery section and adding a slideshow plugin, you can follow this tutorial to achieve that:

This solution did NOT work for me - has the narrative theme been changed since this was written? If so, does anybody know of any newer versions of this fix?
