New Item Icon

Hi. I am wanting to know is there a way to add "new product/item" icon next to the product image, much like when an item is on sale, "the sale" icon displays. See image for clarity.

Hi @RDNaturals 👋 Yes it's possible but implementation varies wildly by theme , some themes may have solutions on the forums/internet found through  research.

For a small set of products a quick method is to put edit "New" badge as a graphic into the image itself, this has the upshot of working in multi-channel scenarios;  same for just adding the text "New" in the product title after you make the product so it's not part of the url/handle.

⚠️A quickfix is if the NEW products are always on sale and they are the only products on sale, change either the themes settings, or wording of the sale badge if it's handled in translations. https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/themes/customizing-themes/language/change-wording 

💣Just remember to undo that if other non-new products are on sale.
