Password with Waitlist

Hi Shopify Community,

I’m using the Spotlight theme for my store, and I want to customize the password page to look similar to the design in the screenshot Below.

Here are the changes I would like to make:

1. Add a logo at the top (centered).
2. Include a countdown timer showing the time until the next collection drop.
3. Add a password input form instead of button at top right side  .
4. Include a waitlist form where users can sign up with their name and email if they don’t have a password.
5. Add social media icons below the forms.

I’ve attached a screenshot Below of the current password page for reference. How can I achieve these changes in the Spotlight theme? Are there specific Liquid code changes I need to implement, or can this be done through the theme editor?

Customizing the password page as per your requirements—adding a logo, countdown timer, password input form, waitlist form, and social media icons—will require custom coding. You can achieve these changes by editing the password.liquid file in your Shopify theme's code. However, this isn't something that can be done through the theme editor alone.

If you're comfortable with coding, you can access the password.liquid file in your Shopify admin by navigating to Online Store > Themes > Actions > Edit Code and locating the file under the Templates folder. You will need to add custom HTML, CSS, and possibly JavaScript to make the page look and function as desired.

If you're not familiar with coding, I highly recommend not making changes directly to these files, as it can potentially break your theme's functionality. Instead, it’s a good idea to hire a Shopify developer or partner who can help implement these customizations for you.

Thank you for the explanation! While I’m familiar with navigating the files, I’m not too comfortable with custom coding just yet. Since I need to launch my store in two days, could you kindly provide a snippet of the password form and the waitlist only? I’ll skip the countdown timer for now to make things more manageable. This would really help me set up the essentials.

Forum questions need to be a singular narrow topic (limited scope), full implementations of custom designs and layouts are advanced theme customizations beyond the scope of the forums.

Which in some themes can be handled in some themes with a custom-liquid block and any standard countdown widget/html found online.

Thank you for your response and guidance. I understand the scope of forum questions, and I would like to narrow down my request. I'm specifically looking for help with just two elements on my password page:

1. Adding a password form.
2. Setting up a waitlist sign-up form (without social icons or a countdown timer).

If a themes password template supports it try the free shopify forms app to embed a form , or any other similar forms app.

Otherwise it's custom work, to develop it yourself see the .dev docs
