I have made some baby name plaques for my site  and they come in different variants, number of letters, character they want, colour scheme. I have added a text box to enable the customer to input the their child's name. Now this can leave me open, as someone can click on 1-4 Letters and input a name that's 8 Letters long yet still pay for 1-4. Is there a way I can limit the amount of letters they use for that particular selection, so that the maximum they can input for 1-4 letters is 4 letters and the maximum they can input for 5-6 letters is 6 letters and so on?

Thanks for your reply. I'm unsure how I would go about implementing the code for each variation. I ideally want something so that when a customer clicks on 1-4 letters then the maximum they can type is 4 letters and if the customer chooses 5-6 letters then the maximum amount they can input is 6 letters and so on. Ideally I'd like to have one text box that would link to each of the options so that when a certain option is selected then the customer can't go over that amount. I have a very limited knowledge of coding, but at this time  I can't afford a monthly subscription for an app and I also want to try and learn how to do this stuff without the reliance of an app.

sorry each variant different text limitation its not possible all are some or some some variant you have fixed not a dynamic

Thanks again, it's OK I couldn't figure it out so I used an app and that's sorted it
