Play different videos on different clicks

Hi there. I want to launch a new site for a new product. The product has several different features which are best explained by showing short (3 to 5 second) videos of each of the different features.

I want a page layout with a central static image of the entire product with clickable links shown at different points on the static image, and when each link is clicked, the respective video is played. Ideally, I'd even like the video to be played within a round bubble close to the link rather than a rectangle in the middle of the screen.

The videos are made within a CAD programme of some mechanisms in motion and will be an mpeg format.

Is this possible in any Shopify theme, or does it require bespoke coding, or can you not even marry this type of bespoke feature into any Shopify theme?

So imagine I have the following image on the homepage.  The red crosses are clickable links that play the different short animations (3 to 5 seconds)

There are two options for playing the animations:

1. When a cross is clicked, there is an overlay across the image and the animation is played like this:

2. This is my more ideal layout. Here the animations are played in small "bubbles" close to the clicked red cross like this

I'm not sure sure whether I want to allow playing multiple animations at the same time, but that's for a later chat. I just want to know how I can ideally do option 2

In how many of the images do you need this feature?

Just one image.  I'll have usual static images in header banner, plus other content below further on the page.  The above image with playable animations will feature towards the top of the homepage

This seems pretty interesting to me. I can try this out. I know how to create different positions clickable on the image with html image map but this is a bit advanced project and a time taking one for sure. 

As of now I am not really sure which one would be the more easy one, the overlay popup or the bubbles but I guess I can try that out during the process.

Ofcourse in terms of the project I will consider a service fee for my time.
