Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Every time I reduce the product image size, whether on photoshop or directly in the editor, it doesn't actually get smaller and just get blurred. Hope someone can help. And what is a good image size to have on the product page. I've gone as low as 500px height with no luck.
If you're using Photoshop to resize your product images, there are a few things you can do to avoid blurry or distorted images. First, make sure you're using the "Save for Web" feature, which will optimize your images for the web and help preserve their quality. Second, try using the "Bicubic Sharper" resampling method, which can help maintain the sharpness of your images when they're resized.
As for the ideal image size for a product page, it really depends on the layout of your website and the size of your product images. A general rule of thumb is to use images that are at least 800 pixels wide, but you may want to use larger images if your website layout can accommodate them. Just keep in mind that larger images can take longer to load, which can affect the performance of your website.
