Preview Image on Menu Subsection on Mobile Version

Is there the possibility to have a preview image of the sub menu section in mobile version only:

this is the sub menu navigation:

and next to each category on the right we would like to have a small preview image

how can this be achieved without slowing down the page ?

Images in mobile mega menus can be achieved with Meteor Mega Menu. I've attached a screenshot (keep in mind that styling and image size can be customized).
