Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Dear community,
I have recently encountered an issue where the free shipping value threshold (60 CHF) in the announcement is displayed correctly in the english (root) and italian language, but in the french and german translation the numbers differs (relatively 80 and 100). In the market and shipping option of shopify, I have only swiss as market and only free shipping set up as above 60. International is inactive, but free shipping is also set to above 60. the announcement bar report the value of the theme setting, which is also "60". My theme is pipeline and website is https://kream.ch
Can someone point out what could be the issue or how to solve it?
Thank you in advance,
kind regards

@AhsenZa from what i can see, the translation of the shipping threshold did also translate the interpolation value.
Example:
in English, the translation key should look like this:
Spend {{ value }} more for free shipping
in the German translation, it contains
Geben Sie {{ Betrag }} mehr aus, um kostenlosen Versand zu erhalten
The correct translation key should look like this
Geben Sie {{ value }} mehr aus, um kostenlosen Versand zu erhalten
The value in the curly brackets is called “interpolation”, and this has been translated (which is not necessary).
Regarding the wrong values, you could check the translation (in German and Italian) of the cart settings of the theme. Maybe the values in "other" languages are different from the primary language.
Which translation tool are you using?

Thanks for looking into it.
I'm using Hextom, I just noticed also the in the Hextom visual editor the value is correct while in the online website is wrong. Also I am only able to edits theme settings from the english language version. I will forward to them a request for support and your message. Thank you
Hey AhsenZa,
Heddy from Gameball here.
It seems like something's getting lost in translation—literally. If the free shipping threshold is displaying different values in different languages, it could be due to a few things:
Theme Translation Settings: Sometimes, the translated versions of your site might have different settings. Check your theme’s language settings or translations for French and German. You might find that the threshold values were manually set to 80 and 100 instead of 60.
Translation Apps: If you’re using a translation app like Langify, these apps might not automatically sync the same values across all languages. You may need to manually adjust the translation for those fields.
Announcement Bar Settings: Double-check the announcement bar settings in your theme. Even if the main value is set to 60 CHF, sometimes translation fields for specific text or numbers might override the default setting.
Cache Issues: It’s worth clearing your browser cache or checking the site in incognito mode to ensure you’re seeing the most updated version. Sometimes, cached data can display outdated information.
If none of these seem to fix the issue, you might want to reach out to the theme's support team or check with the developers if there’s any specific language-related bug.
Hope this helps!
