We have a number of products that are essentially the same except for either size or colour. We want to offer them like variants, however, we have unique field content for each product - specifically the title and description will be different and tailored for the individual SKU. There are only a few variations for each product. In our business systems we store them as individual products.
Would it be more sensible to use a crosssell app or utilise the variants option within Shopify?
Hello @DexamA ,
We can use metafield to display similar products as variants. And on change of those variants it will redirect to the target product.
Or you can use a cross sell app. Both options are good.
If you need to see a custom option let me know I'll send the reference store link in the private message.
Thanks
thank you.
Discussing it through with another of the stakeholders in this project, we believe we need to do variants for those products that need to be seen once in the product collection listing and crosssell for those that we want to see each variant.
Does that sound about right?
Yes both options are right its all about what yo need.
