Product properties showing in order page (admin dashboard) when property is empty on product page

I have on my product page 2 line item properties with text fields. I noticed that regardless if I have written text, both of the properties show up on the product when I look at the order page on the Shopify admin dashboard.

Its strange that they would show up even if no text was inputted when a customer added an item to a cart and checked out. Has anyone stumbled upon this before and found a solution?

An ideal situation would be that you would only see the properties in the order page under the product if text was inputted into those text fields.
